Coming soon in 2010

2010 is upon us.

However, that has nothing to do with what I have to talk about today. Or maybe it does; I don't really know. I just felt like using "2010" in the opening line, but I really want to talk about some low-fi fighting game projects some friends of mine are working on, because I believe they have a lot of promise.

(I also believe in Santa sometimes.)

((Usually near Christmas.))

1. Project Infinite (2008-current) by Missle Launch
Missle "Miss" Launch AKA Madam AKA William Shatner's mom is on a personal mission to make a fighting game that looks like Pong and plays like Kung Fu Master (without buttons).

The game is WIP (Work In Progress) at the moment, but what we know is that the game-screen will have a very funky red lotus design watermarked on the right-hand corner. Throughout the game, right from the word go. Because apparently that's going to be the most original innovation in fighting game history this game has to offer.

I really don't want to spoil a whole lot about the game at the moment because it is currently in the developmental / rumor / myth phase. What we do know at the moment is that script-writing is going to be taken up by the failed.. I mean famed comedian Badmash, who is also the chief character designer and in-game announcer. (I totally made up the announcer part right now Miss, but I totally want to do it.) A rough plot for 3 characters was penned down in 2008.

In terms of game design and programming, Missle is looking for a day job so he can find an excuse to not get any work done on the project.

2. Blood V Mash (2009-current) by Lordy, Badmash
This is a hyperactive chomic-book that is currently in progress. The plot has been more or less finalized and script-writing is underway. We even had a teaser website up and running for it, but it got taken down because we forgot to promote it.

I have to go and edit Episode 5 now.
